When she walks, she leads

Acts of heroism done by women often go unnoticed. But  women are pioneers. They are heros. Warriors.  At the same time women are the ones who make the ordinary extraordinary.  They overcome patriarchy. They shun their humdrum lives of ease and comfort to matter,  to make themselves meaningful.  To make their existing soul worth something.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is an indian entrepreneur.  She was 26 when she started working with minimal knowledge about business. She was promoting an unknown field- biotechnology.  She didn't know anything about biotechnology.  But she was determined to make it happen. And so she did, shattering every stereotype. This warrior, hero , pioneer stuck to her choice even if it meant veering of the beaten track.

Women are risk averse. They follow their instincts and take that leap of faith that some people can't. Women always learn. Might it be from their peers, mentors, juniors. Priyanka Chopra might have reached the highest rung of the ladder but she still says that struggles still continue- they just change their form. Success is a validation but it doesn't mean you are validated for life.

Women toe the line between their careers and family with panache and keeping their ego aside.  One of my inspiration for this blog is the young Hermione- Emma Watson.  Hermione was the most genius in her school. Young girls are said to be delicate princesses. Hermione taught them to be warriors. Have you ever asked yourself why are you not a feminist.  Every person counts. If you think being a feminist is wrong then I ask you why? And you  ask yourself if not you then WHO? If not now then WHEN? Drop in your answers at the comment box.

It is  not the word (feminism) that is important.  It's the ambition and mesaage behind it.
