Is this what we really need?

I think we'll agree on the one fact that India has developed a lot. In almost every sphere. Might it be a space race, medicine, chemicals, we're all a duck to water to development, aren't we? But this isn't the development we need.

Diwali just went by and crackers were burst in abundance in India. Smoke levels in the air increased to about 30% more even after the Supreme Court banning crackers in the NCR region. Are you sure you're calling this development? Rape cases in India have reached such an extent, I think there isn't a day when a rape case doesn't make the headlines. Are you sure you're calling this development?

Why do you think Indians are looked down upon the moment the set foot in abroad? That's because they're not believed to be clean. We tend to litter and prove ourselves lowbrow. India's primary education might be one of the leading ones in all of the world, but what is the point of all this education when we're getting our ground basics wrong?! Is this what you're coining as development?

Laws are made, because they're expected to be followed. And if they aren't being followed, it's the government's fault. It's that government to whom we are paying a tax of a great sum. It's that government who earned more than rupees 11,33,832 crore in previous year. It's this government who is stealing money from us, storing it in trunks, doing whatever but not really working towards development we really need. Then why is it that the police comes up to each house, looking for black money? Then why are we striving towards development.

In this era of globalization, where we've been addicted to technology. In an era where science technically defines us, we're planning to compete with countries as strong as The US? It's about time we wake up. You see, the laws made in US are followed, the government might be ransacking the people's money, but atleast they have carved roads to drive on. Atleast women can step up with proudness on their streets.

We Indians are buying a bullet train from the chinese. Narendra Modi evocatively said- This will take us Indians to a new level of development. What development is he dreaming about. What development is the 58% of the population believing in? This project with will take upto 1.10 lakh crore rupees to set up. If we can spare 1.10 lakh crore rupees to buy bullet train, then why can't we spend maybe less than 50 lakhs just to mend the roads of India? 1.10 lakh crore is the estimated sum excluding the loan we're taking from the World Bank. A 12 million pound loan for a train we expect 1.6 crore people to travel and get back home in, when the 90% of the society housekeeping's get back on an average of 70 minutes late everyday because of roads, traffic, mis management. Is this really the development we're striving towards?

You can't fly in a plane unless you've gone through security check right? You can't log into Instagram without a password. You can't eat if you don't have the farms. What is this security check? Password? Farms? It's nothing but just the ground base. You can't master anything unless we've gotten us basics right. I think India will only witness a true sunrise only when we have clean paths, smooth roads, safe societies, but most importantly a world where not only the elite but the middle and lower class can unhesitantly and in fain rest their heads on their bed every night.

MARK MY WORDS. Get a bullet train, get skyscrapers tomorrow, build another London Bridge, crack as many more formulas you can but without the real development which is the need of the hour, India? It's just an ugly face covered with a rather too beautiful mask.
